Off-Ice Hockey Training and Conditioning

As a conditioning and fitness coach, I have developed many programs specific for the game of hockey. I have coached a wide variety of ages and skill levels. My main focus is to build a functional and durable athlete with clear goals set before the program starts. I enabled players to make higher level teams and advance in their careers. I have helped players to reach their maximum potential, including players who have gone on to play in the NHL, NCAA, USHL and NAHL. 

My Hockey specific Strentgh and Conditioning programs are focused on: 

Improve core strength for more powerful shots and better balance.

Work on total body strength to play strong in the corner and push your opponent off the puck in 1 on 1 situations. 

Improve hand-eye coordination to improve puck handling and shooting. 

Work on aggility, speed and acceleration to beat your opponent to the puck. 

Improve total body power to deliver and absorb hits throughout the game. 

Work on conditioning to enable you to skate at full-speed through the whole game. 

Use Yoga to enhance mobility and flexibility for more fluid powerful stride.
